Nicola Benedetti Strings Festival in partnership with European String Teachers Association

At Saffron Hall, Saffron Walden, last week we were delighted to welcome Nicola Benedetti to our stand to try out our 300th anniversary limited edition interpretation of the ‘Gariel’ Stradivari (1717-2017). Nicola plays the original violin as her main performance instrument on loan from owner and philanthropist, Jonathon Moulds.

We are not entirely sure what Justin Wagstaff, Commercial Director at the Sound Post Ltd, had just said to her (above) but any suggestions for captions are more than welcome. Nicola had some kind things to say about the ‘new’ Gariel and also seem quite taken with the Everest shoulder rest. She also generously agreed to personally sign each of the ten certificates accompanying this strictly limited edition by maker Xue Ping Hu, of Beijing for a percentage donation to the venue, Saffron Hall.
