The Eastman Master Series viola is offered in full antiqued finish. These handmade and hand varnished instruments offer the high level of workmanship from this excellent workshop. Poplar is an unusual material to work in, being slightly softer than maple. However, for the viola it produces a wonderful mezzo tone.
Hand carved poplar for the back, maple for the ribs and scroll and spruce with inlaid purfling
